First Cup of Coffee with Jeffe Kennedy
First Cup of Coffee - July 6, 2020
Thoughts on the great privilege of being an unpublished author and the freedom that gives--which, like youth, we don't appreciate at the time. Also some details on how I track my writing work.

You’re on my auto-buy list so however you publish this story, I’ll get my grubby sandwich grabbers on it.
You’re the best! <3
It would have to be pretty off-brand for me to not buy whatever you publish, or contemporary erotica, I suppose, since I skipped reading those of yours, but I’m sure you have other dedicated fans that read that too. I tend to follow authors and willing to read widely, genre-wise, once I’ve found someone I like. Are Romance readers less likely to do that? I mean, I already read F, SF, mystery, thriller, historical fiction, and romance regularly. I draw the line at erotica because I just don’t like reading about sex that much, but having trouble coming up with anything else I’d be unwilling to try if a favorite author decided to write it. I don’t really proc horror, but still read it occasionally. Not big into western, but still reading/enjoying Charlaine Harris’ new series. *shrug*
Besides, I don’t know what good it does to be able to write whatever I want if no one is ever going to read it, *sigh*
So far as I’ve been able to tell, most of my readers are much more likely to read me in all genres than for others. I do think Romance readers are more likely to cleave to a particular type of story they like.
