I love how you mentioned how stress, emotions, overworking, manifest in your body. It’s been very true for me and as part of my healing process, I have to work out, to manage the stress on my body. I read a book called The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel Van Der Kolk that delves into the relationship between emotional trauma and it’s effects on the body so at least some professionals have started to recognize the effects of our mind on our body.
When do you have to do the RWA two minute tip? Have you decided which topic you want to cover? Good luck!
I like the idea of Pen Names because my family is tied to local government/pillars of society. It sounds like pen names and branding is especially important for Indie, but is it a big deal for Trad?
I can do the two-minute tip anytime, so there’s no rush, but I would like to get it off my plate.
I think pen names are less important for branding in trad, ALTHOUGH trad publishers will often ask an author with a mediocre sales track to take a pen name to “reboot” their career. Often they’ll market these authors as “debut author X” too!
You can use a browser extention to post pictures to Instagram from the PC. Much easier to copy and paste larger blocks of alt text or text.
I think there are good arguments on both sides of the decision to use a pen name or not.
Yeah… but it’s a PITA. I’ll keep that in mind though!
