First Cup of Coffee with Jeffe Kennedy
First Cup of Coffee - February 26, 2021
I'm talking about genre definitions today, what drives them, where they're relevant and not - and how much is in the eye of the beholder. Also a bit on being disappointed by authors who turn out to be monsters.

Thanks for listening!
I started reading Dark Wizard and I’m loving it so far! Gabe and Nic are great! They may become my new fav couple. You have too many awesome couples! Also is that me you mentioned in the acknowledgements?! :O Anyway very interesting world with the dark undercurrents and oracle tabernacles. I reacted the same way poor Gabe did to that. I’ll post proper thoughts once I finish it!
Yay!! I love them as a couple, too.
And, yes, that is you! <3
Aw, that’s so sweet of you! <3 I'm glad to have cheered it on every chance I could!
I remember!;-)
I am waiting to start until I have a big enough chunk of uninterrupted time to read for a few hours.
The term dark fantasy did make me leery from the few times I’ve browsed at Amazon. I dislike the way I search for a specific author name and have to go to page two or three before I find any books written by said author that I searched for, but that is a rant for another day. I will just say there is some truly dark (as in creepy and disturbing) things marketed as romance. And I am in the read whatever you want camp but it makes it hard to find books that actually have a HEA and what romance readers would define as Romance.
I do that, too!
I totally agree on “dark romance.” Some of that stuff leaves me feeling unclean.
That cake looks yummy!
I haven’t started reading it yet, alas. Too busy
Cake was great! Too busy to read sounds terrible…
