Will the anthology be available to buy or preorder on your website?
I love the blurb for Zyr and would totally read it, but I am still in camp Dark Wizard prequel or a secondary character from Forgotten Empires in anticipation of another trilogy set in that world.
Or there’s always Brandur (I’m just saying!)
Maybe you should write a totally unrelated to any existing series stand-alone novella that would introduce everyone who’s not already a fan to your writing so they’ll then buy all of your fantasy backlist.
Possibly your resistance to the novellas you have been considering means you need to choose something else entirely. And a stand alone means more new-to-you folks would probably try it.
Or write all the possibilities on index cards and let the cats choose.

I literally laughed out loud at the reading of Carien’s blurb – at least her preferences are consistent 😉
