I want men in my books to talk to other men about their problems! I want gentle, kind men who can self-soothe and process their emotions. I started writing a whole thing about suicide rates in middle-age white men in the American west – it’s a Rolling Stone article – and how support groups for men hosted by men exist but they don’t advertise. And honestly they need to sort themselves out. I don’t have the energy for it. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. 1/10 would not recommend.
I want this too! More examples of men helping each other. Love your “1/10 would not recommend” lol!
