I check entries on Submission Grinder to help support it, and OMG, there are *so many* markets that don’t pay, and often they have some of the most rigid guidelines: “no simsubs, no reprints, use only this weird font, a non-standard spacing, etc.”
I especially get irritated when it is organizations that are supposed to be helping new authors that commit these sins, thereby setting a bad precedent.
