I think revising and editing books 5 and 6 together sound like a good plan. Especially if it will get the books released close together. We’ve waited this long* I would love to be able to read books 5 and 6 in quick succession.

That’s good to know! And yeah, there are good reasons to do it that way. I do appreciate your patience!
I’m also a fan of the get 5 & 6 close together, especially if 6 is the final one(?). Just don’t do a GRRM and take however many years 😉
