I really appreciate all the honest discussions around things like writing habits. When other authors make comments like “I write *every* day” or “real authors will always make time”, it can be discouraging. I know my own problem is rarely a lack of time, but a lack of spoons. Knowing that not every successful author is an unfaltering word robot helps me feel like less of a failure during the bad times. I hope that quitting my day job will result in a lot more productivity, but realistically I know there will still be days when I get nothing done.
Thanks for letting me know – I responded in the next day’s podcast, but I’m really happy to hear this. I was hoping the podcast would partially serve this purpose. 🙂
