Weekend in ViequesJeffe Kennedy / November 1, 2011November 1, 2011 / Blog At last, the final wind-up of my week of work in San Juan – and our little weekend side-trip to Vieques. We finished our work midday Friday and drove back through San Juan to our hotel As a side note, most everything in San Juan is in Spanish. We ate lunch in my pool bar. So amazing to see the daytime activity, as opposed to just the evenings and before work. Then we left the hotel behind and drove out through Condado Beach. Great public art in the area. Once you leave San Juan, the Puerto Rican countryside really opens up. We took the ferry to Vieques and got there late at night in the dark. This is the view that greeted us in the morning. Vieques has a rougher coasline than many of the Caribbean islands. Our inn had this fabulous infinity-edge pool. The inn aslo provided great sunsets My boss, riding the ferry back to the main island. Goodbye to Vieques!
