As someone who also dreads fight scenes, I support the “fade to black” fight scene idea! They *are* often boring! While a sex scene should develop character, fight scenes rarely do. And because of that… snooze. I say go for it! 😉
So I’m one of those people who enjoy some things more the times after the first time. Like books and computer games. The first time reading a book can be really stressful if I don’t know what will happen. It’s the second time when I know the story that I can actually relax and truly enjoy it.

That’s a good point! And I can sink into the romance/sex scenes more when I know they won’t be just a tease.
As a Floridian, I don’t understand the concept of “seasons” or “seasonal.” (Unless you mean “tourist season”)
