  1. As much as I would love another Twelve Kingdoms/Uncharted Realms story (Nakoa or Brandur would top my POV wishlist), not sure that would draw new readers to the series unless a prequel.

Might have the same issue, but possibly something with Nolan or Arnon from Sorcerous Moons?

Or something from this Dark Wizard world that could also serve as an introduction to that world (obviously hard to do if you haven’t discovered a fair bit about it in the part you have written so far.)

A stand alone story could work as well and simply be an introduction to your voice. But making up an entire fantasy world only for a novella could be time-consuming

    1. Thanks for the input! Grace has talked me into doing a Dark Wizard prequel novella. I think this can work well. 🙂

  2. I’m much less inclined to buy books that describe the meat of the book being about the guy, so I’m glad you changed it 😉

I’ve never understood why so many Romance books focus on the guy instead of the girl.

I’m disappointed that The Forgotten Empires isn’t doing better, as I think that series really deserves more attention 🙁

    1. I think it’s habit – and subconscious/programmed gender bias – that we frame stories in terms of what the male characters are doing.

I should clarify that Forgotten Empires isn’t doing badly – it’s actually selling great! – but it’s not a blockbuster, which would ensure more in that world. Still, we’ll see what SMP wants to do!
