  1. No worries. I pre-ordered it.

Also Leslye’s book has been pushed back to August and Shadows in Death by JD Robb will release Sept 8th not the 22nd as Amazon had originally listed (what I get for going by Amazon and not the publisher’s official site, but oh well). So even if The Fate of the Tala doesn’t release on the 15th it won’t be the only book listed in the “wrong” spot.

I am determined to be chill about these types of changes as I know there will probably be more. (She says as she waits impatiently for her fancy planner to ship).

Hope the next batch of sugar cookie dough is better. Flour is usually good past the expiration date but it does eventually go bad.

    1. Wow – something in the water?? We’re all ruining your life! What you get for trying to herd us creative kittens with your fancy planner!

And thank you! See my reply to my mom’s comment, but it turns out the natural, whole-grain flours can go rancid much faster :-/ Now I know to check!

  2. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I made my “no fail wonderful oatmeal” cookies and they were terrible! Even Dave (who will usually eat anything that has sugar in it) agreed they were awful. I, too, checked all of the ingredients to see if I’d done something wrong and couldn’t find a cause. I haven’t tried again.

    1. Oh wow, how weird! I looked it up and it turns out flour CAN expire – especially if it’s a more whole grain/natural variety. The more oils in it, the more likely it is to go rancid! The natural flours last only 3-6 months, so I was easily in that window. Now we know…
